Skin Boosters

Made with grace aesthetics

All about this treatment

Skin boosters are injectable treatments designed to hydrate and improve the overall quality of your skin. They typically contain hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the body that attracts and retains moisture.

What they do:

– Hydration: Skin boosters deliver intense hydration to the skin, making it look plumper, smoother, and more radiant.
– Improved Elasticity: By boosting hydration, they can improve skin elasticity and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
– Enhanced Texture: Skin boosters can refine skin texture, minimising the appearance of pores and improving overall smoothness.
– Brighter Complexion: Increased hydration can lead to a brighter, more glowing complexion.

How long it takes:

A typical skin booster treatment session takes approximately 60 minutes.

How it’s administered:

A qualified practitioner injects small amounts of the skin booster product into the dermis (the middle layer of skin) using a very fine needle. Multiple injections are administered across the treatment area, which could be the face, neck, décolletage, or hands. A topical numbing cream may be applied beforehand to minimise discomfort.

Aftercare:

– Avoid touching or rubbing the treated area for at least six hours after the treatment.
– Avoid strenuous exercise, excessive sweating, and saunas for 24 hours.
– Avoid make-up for at least 12 hours, or as advised by your practitioner.
– Avoid sun exposure and use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher daily.
– Follow any specific instructions provided by your practitioner.
– Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water to help maximise the benefits of the treatment.
– Gentle skincare: Use mild cleansers and moisturisers in the days following the treatment. Avoid harsh exfoliants or retinoids until your skin has fully recovered.
